Local Realtor Input

Note: Originally posted 06/12/13 - moved to this new location due to high spam volume.

This is an email from a local realtor that contacted us.

“I finally got this listing agreement scanned that Facundo coerces the elderly to sign. I tried to post it on your blog, but it would not let me post it under comments. This is the agreement Facundo used to get a retired couple to let him tie up their property for 4 months. They are still afraid to sign a contract for $30,000 more money, and lost the log cabin they were going to retire in. They could not close in time.

I will be getting some flyers out fairly soon, warning homeowners to not sign an agreement with him. Thank you for talking to me.”

I live down the street from this elderly couple and I happen to know that they personally contact Mr. Facundo telling him they wanted him to purchase their home. Facundo was interested in purchasing their home. The elderly couple was waiting to see how long they needed to work in order to sell their home and retire in this log cabin. Facundo Home Builder in no way forced them to do anything they did not want to do, in fact he kindly walked away when they chose not to sell their home to him.

People need to mind their own business and stop spreading hate!

Hi Kay - I don’t know anything about this contract or couple, but feel that I need to respond. I hope that your last sentence isn’t directed to those of us who have shared our experiences on this blog. Miguel Facundo’s business practices have hurt many people in this neighborhood, evidenced by the number of posts on this blog, and the number of recent legal cases he’s been involved in (the Harris County civil/family court records site lists some but not all). The purpose of this blog is not to spread hate but rather to spread information, so anyone thinking of building with him will at least know what they are getting into.

Thanks Kay for posting. The blog is pretty open to post both sides and there is no filtering to only post ‘hate’ messages. It is open to anyone with their experiences building/working with him. All we did was initially share what we experienced after learning from several others that they had similar ones, but were unwilling or afraid to speak up. I am sure if there are other positive ones, they will get posted here.

  4. This is an interesting post by Kay Wassink. If you do a simple name search, you will see that Ronda K. Wassink who lives in MN with no known addresses in TX pulls up and surprise! surprise! she is a listed relative of Gail Facundo. Perhaps next time the Facundos try to mislead the public by peppering fake positive comments in forums, they will be creative enough to come up with a name other than one of their relatives...YET AGAIN. Try Harry Potter next time....Sickening.
